A larger lake with grand lakefront venues
Lake Garda — Sirmione, Gardone Riviera, Salò and the lakefront villas and grand hotels — is Italy's largest lake and a major destination-wedding setting. Venues here are typically road-accessible with generous load-in, which lets us scale the production confidently for larger guest counts while keeping the same end-to-end approach.
We plan each wedding space by space: lakefront ceremony, garden or terrace dinner, and a tuned dancefloor for the party — one team, one point of contact.
Ceremony on the lakefront, dinner on the terraces
Open lakefront ceremonies catch the breeze off the water, so we use cardioid and supercardioid wireless microphones for the celebrant and couple, with distributed speakers so every guest hears the vows (70–78 dB SPL).
For dinner across terraces and gardens we zone the audio for comfortable conversation (75–82 dB SPL) with speeches on a dedicated channel, levels ridden live as the light fades over the lake.
Scaling the party for larger weddings
Garda's road-accessible venues suit a bigger production. For larger parties we move from point-source Funktion-One to L-Acoustics line array with defined subs and stage monitors for a live band, plus a Pioneer CDJ-3000 booth, immersive 360° lighting and optional high-resolution LED. Target on the dancefloor stays 95–100 dB SPL, distributed so the back of the garden hears the same balance as the front — all run by one on-site technician.
Sirmione, Gardone Riviera and the wide lakefront: acoustics on Italy's largest lake
Lake Garda is a different scale of setting from the Como villas — Italy's largest lake, with broad lakefront venues, grand hotel terraces and gardens at Sirmione, Gardone Riviera and Salò. The spaces tend to be wider and more open than the tight terraced villas of Como, and crucially most are road-accessible with generous load-in, which changes what's possible acoustically.
What that means for the plan:
- Wide-open lakefront ceremonies catch the breeze straight off a large body of water with little to break it — full exposure, so cardioid and supercardioid wireless for the vows, with distributed speakers spread along the wider seating area to hold an even 70–78 dB SPL rather than one loud front source.
- Large garden and terrace dinners spread across more ground than a compact villa garden, so zoning matters even more — several balanced zones at 75–82 dB SPL instead of trying to cover a big footprint from one point.
- Road access and generous load-in let us bring a full line-array party where the guest count justifies it, rather than compromising the rig to fit a boat crossing.
That scale-up freedom is the practical advantage of Garda, and it lets us carry the larger, multi-zone productions described in our Lake Como wedding AV pillar.
What does a typical 150-guest wedding AV setup look like on Lake Garda?
Garda's road-accessible, lakefront-scale venues let the rig grow more freely than on the tighter Como and island sites:
- 100 guests — Pioneer CDJ-3000 / DJM-A9 booth with Funktion-One point-source for the party. Ceremony on 2 cardioid/supercardioid wireless mics with distributed speakers along the lakefront seating at 70–78 dB SPL; dinner zoned across terraces and gardens at 75–82 dB SPL; dancefloor at 95–100 dB SPL.
- 150 guests — the same Pioneer booth, typically stepping up to L-Acoustics line array for the wider footprint, with dedicated subs for a defined low end and stage monitors held ready for a live band. A second wireless channel for speeches and distributed dinner zoning across the larger garden.
- 200+ guests — a full line-array production distributed so the back of the garden hears the same balance as the front, multiple subs, stage monitors for the band, plus immersive 360° lighting and optional high-resolution LED — all run from one desk by the on-site technician.
The target levels stay constant — 70–78 ceremony, 75–82 dinner, 95–100 dancefloor — only the distribution scales to Garda's larger footprint. Send your date, venue and guest count for a same-day proposal: request a quote.
